Suburban Plaza I is a Class A medical office building situated on campus and adjacent to Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital (f/k/a Norton Suburban Hospital) in St. Matthews. This eight floor physician office building (~11,000 SF floors except 16,000 SF lower level) received an extensive renovation in 2002, and features a fully renovated lobby with three traction elevators and separate entrances to convenient free surface parking. Convenient physician access to the Doctors Club health facility, and a lower level tunnel connects the building to the Norton Hospital cafeteria. The rebranded Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital opened on Norton Healthcare's St. Matthews campus in December 2014, after a comprehensive multi-year $117.8 million renovation (according to Business First). The redesigned hospital provides innovative care dedicated to the unique needs of women and children, while continuing to offer emergency, inpatient and outpatient care to men. In conjunction with the renovation, Norton added a new neonatal intensive care unit with private rooms and a 2.3 million breast health center.
